Greetings,

Today, I am going to tell you what we eat in Spain. Our cuisine is quite simple, with LARGE portions! We use very little spices here in Spain, but garlic is something we pretty much always use! We like bread with almost all of our meals, and sometimes it's dipped in an olive oil made here in Spain. In almost every region of Spain, cured ham is popular. In Spain we LOVE seafood and since we have a long shoreline, we get our seafood fresh everyday. Some of the most popular seafood items are anchovies; mostly used in salads or other dishes, cod; dried and salted and used as the main course, tuna, and sardines. Tapas, or finger foods, are served very frequently in Spain. We usually enjoy chesse, olives, or ham as finger foods while socially drinking at a bar. We are social drinkers! I know in America dinner is the main meal with several courses, but here in Spain our large meal is lunch. For lunch we have 2 to 3 courses often with a soup or stew before hand. For dinner we will normally eat leftovers from lunch, but not near as much food.
