Sports and Leisure in Iceland

Hello this is Adam again . Soccer is the most popular sport in Iceland just as all European countries but it spelled FOTBOLTI, which really means football. Hockey is not that big in my country because we only have 3 hockey teams so the Hockey Championship is usually no that big of a deal. But as for me I am a nationally ranked basketball player, because it is very popular here, so that’s another thing that the US and Iceland have in common. Iceland usually don’t have many famous athletes because we only have 3 Olympic medals. But, the bad part in that is we never won gold but don’t count us out. One athlete that my country is proud to say that its there is Jon Pall Sigmarsson because no one could compete with him during his run in the “Worlds Strongest Man”.
